Lore:

Veiljackals are lean, long-limbed canids with mist-woven fur that shifts with emotion. Their eyes shimmer with subtle silver, and their bodies seem to phase slightly in and out of view when grief is near. They make no sound when moving, and their howls—rare and ritualistic—carry memory through the veil like a breath through silence.

They appear when emotional distortion thickens the land, drawn not by blood, but by imbalance. When a Veiljackal follows a Seeker, it is often because something unprocessed must be shed.

In sacred hunts, some Spiral traditions walk with the Veiljackal as guides—believing they hunt not prey, but burden.
