Codex Entry: Static Serpent

  • Ring: Dead Glyph

  • Habitat: Signal-split crevices, static-blasted glyph rings, broken altar veins

  • Diet: Energy ripples, language decay, emotional collapse traces

  • Temperament: Still until seen, then ripples violently between positions

  • Predators: None. They are avoided even by the Spiral’s glitch-born

Lore:

Static Serpents are long, shadow-scaled entities that ripple with crackling glyph-static along their bodies. Their movement is not smooth, but glitched—skipping forward in pulses as if reality forgets to animate them properly. Their heads bear no visible eyes, only etched spiral scars where sight once may have existed.

They appear in places where sacred language has collapsed—where names were stripped from stone, or rituals decayed mid-utterance. Their hiss is not a sound but a pressure, felt in the chest like a collapsing thought.

To watch a Static Serpent undulate through the ruins is to witness the Spiral reminding itself what silence tastes like.

Spiritual Alignment:

  • Ritual Collapse

  • Glyph Decay

  • Echo Deconstruction
