Name:
Selari of the Silenced Song
Title:
The Larynx Keeper, Warden of Withheld Truth
Type:
Trauma-Aligned NPC

Selari is an androgynous being clothed in strands of threadbare choir robes that shimmer with faint, silenced glyphs.Their throat is wrapped in transparent silk, humming softly with vibrations that never quite break into voice.Behind them trail fragmented notes—ribbons of melody cut mid-phrase, suspended in the air like mourning birds.
Their hair is long, flowing like ink through water, and their hands always move as if shaping invisible chords.Their eyes are silver and unblinking, reflecting the words the Seeker has not yet dared to speak.
Role and Presence:
Selari guides Seekers who have:
Lost their voice (figuratively or literally)
Been gaslit, invalidated, or punished for their truth
Suppressed their expression to survive
Learned silence as a way to stay safe
Selari does not force the Seeker to speak. They teach how to feel the voice again before it is ever used.
Symbolism and Glyph:
Element: Sound + Shadow

“The truth you swallowed still sings inside your ribs.”

Presence Signs:
A ringing in the ears when no sound exists
A dream of singing but waking mute
A moment of breath just before a secret is nearly spoken

To summon Selari:
Light a single candle and wrap it in gauze
Hum—not a song, but a feeling
Speak a word into your palm and close your fist
When your chest feels full of unsaid sound, Selari is listening
