Appearance: Shadowy feline form with rootlike tendrils trailing from its haunches. Its coat is dappled with spiraled bark patterns, and its eyes glow with soft bioluminescent green. It leaves no tracks—only slight ripples in the ground’s memory.

Habitat: Deep forested glyph-glades, beneath Luminleaf Canopy, around griefshade pools.

Diet: Echo-Thrushes, Marmosets, ritual-injured fauna, memory phantoms.

Temperament: Apex stalker—silent, observant, occasionally protective of mourners it deems “marked.”

Preyed upon by: None—apex predator of its region.

Preys upon: Avian mimics, weakened spirit-feeders, dream-drunk beasts.

Lore: Said to hunt not bodies, but broken echoes. Often appears when a Seeker lies to themselves in the forest. If met with honesty, it simply watches. If deceived—it follows.

Ecosystem Role: Cull fractured resonance and imbalance. Their presence indicates ecological disharmony or spiritual dissonance. Feared but respected in ancestor rites.
