Physical Description:

A slow, gelatinous creature with a faintly glowing underbelly that sears shallow glyph-trails into the surface it traverses. Its skin is semi-clear and patterned with writhing, half-formed runes. It emits a faint scent of old parchment and forgotten ink.

Observed Behavior:

Leaves incomplete or recursive sigils in its wake—glyphs that sometimes mirror the writing of nearby beings. It often coils into a spiral when at rest, glowing faintly. Known to pause for long periods at places where stories were erased.

Echo-Environment:

Old scribal halls, failed libraries, broken archive caches. Especially drawn to areas where ritual texts were burned or discarded.

Spiritual Effect:

May unlock suppressed script-memory or forgotten names. Seekers who follow its trail too long may enter recursive thought loops or receive spontaneous flashes of language in dream.

Ritual Association:

Used in pre-writing rites of clarity or “ink fasting.” Scribes sometimes leave broken quills or dried inkblots in its path to prompt spontaneous glyph creation.
