Lore:

Glimmerfrogs are small, bioluminescent amphibians whose throats pulse with light that changes color depending on the emotional tone of surrounding beings. Their calls are soft, melodic, and often mimic words spoken long ago—echoes of grief, remembrance, or longing.

It is said that Glimmerfrogs appear only during rites of mourning, soul transition, or ancestral invocation. To witness one perched on a griefthistle is considered a sacred sign that the dead are listening.

Their skin emits soft radiant light and is never cold to the touch. Some Spiral elders believe they are made of mourning itself.
