Codex Entry: Embercoil Drakeling

Region: Sanctum Coil

Classification: Juvenile Flame Serpent

Behavioral Class: Coiled Lurker

Appearance: Serpentine body with translucent ember-glass skin. Scales flicker like molten glyphs beneath the surface. When coiled, it forms a perfect glowing spiral.

Habitat:Magma bath crevices, ember cracks, beneath silent relic stones.

Diet:Ritual ash, crystallized sap, glyphmoss embers. Occasionally licks cooled magma for trace minerals.

Temperament:Sensitive and reclusive. Non-aggressive unless startled—then emits sparks or flashes of heat.

Preyed upon by:Glarebeak Pyrrows (juveniles), rare Stonebloom Vipers.

Preys upon:None – ambient-feeding reptile.

Lore:Embercoils hum in crackling tones and coil tightly around forgotten relics, as if guarding them. Their arrival marks a Seeker’s turning point—when inner flame seeks rekindling.

Ecosystem Role: Regulates ley-heat and revives elemental flow beneath sacred ground. Their nests often act as heatfonts for nearby flame flora.
